Harry Potter is Evil! Harry Potter is Evil!

HARRY POTTER IS EEEEVIL!
Or so my pastor said during church a while ago, while I do believe in God and Jesus, I did have to giggle to myself when he said it. He went on to explain why the devil wrote it and how it is corrupting today’s kids. While I read the book, I know many do not. While one of the most popular books in the west in today’s world, Harry Potters stupid adventures in Hogwarts are condemned by many as ads for kids to learn witchcraft and to lean away from God. I am here to present both the points of religious zealots and just common people who like a certain series of books.

Is Harry Potter Evil?
Many church groups and other such stuff believe that Harry Potter is just a well-disguised book of witchcraft and pagan beliefs. The bottom line is a hunger for power. Harry Potter and the rest of witchcraft promise that power. But in the end they discover that Satan is really in charge of the power and only uses it like cheese in a mousetrap. Here are some things children have said after reading the book.
"It would be great to be a wizard because you could control situations and things like teachers." Jeffrey, age 11.
"I'd like to go to wizard school and learn magic and put spells on people. I'd make up an ugly spell and then it's pay-back time." Catherine, age 9.
"I liked it when the bad guys killed the unicorn and Voldemort drank its blood." Julie, age 13.
"The books are very clever. I couldn't put them down. When I was scared I made myself believe that it was supposed to be funny so I wasn't so scared." Nuray age 11.

Why must our poor children be exposed to this evil stuff!? Because of peer pressure and because the devil is slowly taking control of us all, other kids whom are taken over by the devil and are torturing their peers till they read it and become one with the devil.

Harry Potter? Face of Evil? Or just a really dumb looking kid?

It should be good that kids are reading and not sitting on their ass playing games and watching TV (not that I do that…). But as long as it took for the zealots who claim they're protecting children from evil (and evil can be found lurking everywhere these days) to discover that children actually like these books. If children are excited about a book, it must be EEEEVIL!

It’s just a damn book!
I think that many people are going WAY to overboard with this crap, its just a book, someone’s imagination. Are we going to go back to the days where you had to think of God 24/7 and if you laughed, you were laughing at God so you are whipped to death? If children can’t have imagination, even adults need it, I don’t know what we would do. Hell if imagination were not possible B*B would not exist. If you don’t care about religion at all skip this sentence, God created mankind out of all creatures with free will and with imagination, why should we not use this gift to make art? You don’t see dogs and seagulls writing down epics and short stories or inventing languages and painting pictures. These are my views on it and that is all.
